Ok, you know those infrared sensors in the tank hanger that you have to deal with right after Meryl opens the door for you? Well, I always got through that part using a cheap trick, but I found out it only works with.... drum roll.... FINGER PRINTS ON YOUR DISC! Yes. I repeat. Finger prints. If you have finger prints in the right area of your disc (or all over it), a trick you can use is to simply run past the room when Meyrl or Cambell is calling you at that time and not answer the codec. If you do this, the infrared sensors won't become activated until after the door is opened! I cleaned the disc and found this didn't work anymore, so I had to put tons and tons of finger prints on disc one after that to put this cheat/glitch back in place. I cannot guarentee that this will work on any version of Metal Gear Solid 1 except the PS1 original. BUT IT MIGHT BE WORTH A TRY ON THE TWIN SNAKES ANYWAY! So yes, I have used this trick to beat the game virtually every single time. Thank God you don't have to deal with those sensors in Snake Eater (Except laser pointers with the easy gun and Scorpion gun!), and at least in Sons Of Liberty you can shoot them out with your pistol or snipe rifle. But in MGS1, at least the original, you can't do that. ALSO! I know you can't shoot normally in first person view mode in MGS 1, but when you're fighting Liquid Snake for the last time, you can! Just hold down the triangle and sqaure buttons! and use the arrows! He's a piece of cake now! So yes, you won't find these codes anywhere else. If only I'd discovered these back in 1998! Those were the days....
